Advocacy
“The standard we walk past is the standard that we choose to accept.”
David Morrison
We can and should be part of the change.
White Ribbon Australia advocates for changes at a government and policy level. We submit proposals to bring about overarching change that have lasting impact in everyday Australians lives.
See what we’ve achieved so far.
The Roundtable is a biannual event that brings people from across the country together to talk, teach and plan what a violence-free future looks like.
The aim is to discuss critical issues and develop policy solutions. Our focus is on the root causes of men’s violence against women. What drives it? How can White Ribbon Australia help to stop it?
We provide a platform for meaningful discussions and knowledge exchange among professionals and stakeholders committed to ending violence against women. Everyone has a role to play in creating a safer, more equal society, and this can be achieved by collaboration and collective action.
Our Roundtable events are inclusive, engaging, and informative, featuring keynote speeches, expert panels, and interactive sessions. We welcome participation from anyone who shares our commitment to shaping the policies that can help put a stop to violence against women for good.
Anyone who is interested in policy reform can submit an expression of interest. We welcome professionals and advocates from all backgrounds, including government officials, academics, researchers, and community leaders.
Our selection process is competitive, and we strive to ensure that participants represent a diverse range of perspectives and expertise.
Join us at our inaugural Roundtable event to help shape policy solutions and advocate for a safer, more equal society for all.
White Ribbon Australia produces a range of position statements in collaboration with many other organisations who share our vision.
