White Ribbon Month
White Ribbon Month
Earlier this year, we ran a series of focus groups with men and boys from all ages and stages of life, colours, cultures, shapes and sizes.
What we found was alarming.
We found many men who had never talked about their feelings, who couldn’t say what it meant to be a “good man”, who didn’t understand what non-physical abuse looked like, and who didn’t think they played a role in ending violence against women.
It was clear to us that the messages in the community about preventing violence weren’t reaching the people who needed to hear it.
We need to go back to basics. We need to get men thinking and talking about their role in ending violence against women. So, we’re asking men across Australia to join us and tell us where they’re at with the issue of violence against women.
This is what they told us.
All men have a role to play in ending violence against women. Don’t stay silent.
Be a part of the conversation.
Getting involved is as easy as filming your own video or answering a question prompt. To film your own video, take a look at our filming guide here.
