Young voices help shape the future.
The White Ribbon Australia Youth Advisory Group is a space for young people to contribute their perspectives and help shape the work to prevent men’s violence against women.
It brings together young people from across Australia to share ideas, challenge thinking, and influence how we engage the next generation in conversations about respect, equality and safe relationships.
This is not about simply being part of the conversation. It is about helping shape it.
Our Impact
The Youth Advisory Group has already contributed to shaping key areas of our work.
Since beginning as a pilot in 2023, members have:
- Contributed to resources on technology-facilitated abuse
- Provided input into White Ribbon Day campaign development
- Helped guide how we engage young people across social media
This work continues to inform how White Ribbon Australia connects with and supports young people nationally.
What you’ll do
As part of the Youth Advisory Group, you will:
- Contribute to national campaigns and messaging
- Provide input into prevention resources and initiatives
- Share your perspective on how to better engage young people
- Help shape how we communicate across platforms, including social media.
Age: You should be between 16 and 25 years old.
Time Commitment: 1 hour online meeting each month, plus occasional opportunities to review content and share ideas.
What you’ll gain

Commitment
The commitment is manageable and designed to fit around study, work and life:
- One 1-hour online meeting each month
- Occasional opportunities to review content and share input.
Be prepared to join for an initial two-year term, with the option to reapply for a further two years.

Who we’re looking for
We are seeking young people aged 16–25 from across Australia. If you’re under 18, we’ll need consent from a parent or caregiver.
You do not need prior experience or expertise. We are looking for people who:
- Are open to sharing their perspective
- Are interested in creating positive change
- Bring different backgrounds, experiences and viewpoints.
