Social Impact Report – Mar 2022
March and April of 2022 have been about progress and collaboration for White Ribbon Australia. From hosting our first ever Bi-annual Accredited Workplaces Forum, to releasing our new video calling for everybody to play their part in ending gendered violence, we have been creating opportunities for everybody to get involved in ending men’s violence and abuse towards women and their children.

Introducing the Bi-annual Accredited Workplaces Forum

This month we held our first Bi-annual Accredited Workplaces Forum, where White Ribbon Australia Accredited workplaces came together to showcase best practice, discuss shared impact, learn from each other and understand what concentrate efforts on during their accreditation cycle.

There were more than 50 representatives of accredited workplaces in attendance, including our CEO Melissa Perry, who shared with workplaces the impact and reach of the White Ribbon Australia Workplace Accreditation program.

A Q&A panel discussion was conducted with one of our leading workplaces, Unity Water. This panel shone a light on Unity Water’s efforts to create sustainable practice, allowing other workplaces to learn and grow from Unity Water’s experiences.

An evaluation of this forum was conducted post event, with insights shared by attendees highlighting that this forum was a positive experience for our workplaces. The team will continue to evolve this concept to offer impactful experiences for accredited workplaces.

Initiatives like this forum ensure that the process for workplaces to better their practices and culture does not end when White Ribbon Australia’s Workplace Accreditation is achieved. Instead, workplaces can focus on continuous improvement, ensuring women’s safety remains a priority to accredited workplaces throughout the year.
